Your Pet’s Visit at
Conestoga Animal Hospital

Our veterinarians believe that prevention is the key to your pet’s long-term health.

Wellness Exams

Pets age much faster than humans, so it’s important to bring your pet in for an annual exam each year. The wellness exam is similar to the yearly physical you receive from your veterinarian.

Our veterinarians will check the health of your pet from head to tail and will provide information and recommendations tailored to your pet’s specific needs. This visit will include a comprehensive physical exam and a time to discuss any changes in your pet’s physical health or behavior.

We suggest keeping a journal of your pet’s health throughout their life, including behavioral and activity changes. If you have something like this, please share it with our team. If not, let us know everything that you think will be important.

Our veterinarians will work with whatever information you have, and our staff will gladly request records from your previous veterinarians on your behalf.

Reducing the Stress of Veterinary Visits

We understand a trip to see a veterinarian can be frightening to your pet, and we are committed to creating a stress-free and fear-free experience.

Health Concerns

If your pet is ill, there may be occasions when a routine physical exam isn’t enough to determine why your pet is under the weather. Our fully equipped diagnostic department offers a wide array of tools and procedures — such as pet X-rays and more — that provide detailed information about your pet so our veterinarians can treat him quickly and most effectively.

We understand that whether routine or emergency, leaving your pet for surgery can be stressful and unnerving for both you and your companion. That’s why you can rely on us to provide quality, compassionate care throughout your pet’s entire stay.

In some circumstances, our veterinarians may refer you to a specialist with advanced expertise in areas such as internal medicine, advanced dentistry, or surgery. For information about emergency visits while we are closed, please check this link.
